Cold therapy, also known as cryotherapy, is a popular form of treatment for acute injuries. The method works to reduce swelling by cooling the skin, narrowing the blood vessels in the underlying tissues, and thereby restricting blood flow to the area. The Relief Pak® ColdSpot™ Black Urethane Packs are made from a heavier material that can be chilled to a lower temperature than the blue vinyl.

The product can be placed directly on the area without needing a towel or cover buffer. A great benefit of this product is that it can be stored anywhere because users put the ice in the cap themselves and remove it when they are finished. The Relief Pak® Cold n’ Hot® Sensaflex® compress is a 2-in-1 pack that can be chilled in the freezer or heated in the microwave. This multipurpose product is best for patients with multiple injuries or a long-term injury that requires both heat and cold therapy. This pack has a comfortable soft fabric that conforms to the contours of your body and is gentle on skin. The product is also available in a larger, tri-sectional shape, which can be applied directly to the upper back and neck.

Relief Pak® Val-u Pak™ Cold n’ Hot® packs are a more affordable product that features both hot and cold therapy. The product has a universal shape, which comes in three sizes, so one pack can apply to many areas on the body. It is recommended to use a towel or cover between the product and the body.

The Relief Pak® Cold n’ Hot® Donut® is a roll-on pack that offers compression simultaneously with either hot or cold therapy. The product is simply slid over the finger, arm, or leg to the area in need, and it will completely encase the body part. A compression sleeve is included in the purchase to place in between the skin and the donut. This product combines both hot and cold treatment with compression to help reduce swelling.
