Chiropractic Treatments

Chiropractors use many different treatments in order to help heal their patients and these techniques have many beneficial characteristics. Some treatments include: Massage Therapy, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), Ultrasound and Hydrotherapy. Below we briefly outline what these chiropractic treatments entail and our chiropractic products that correspond.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of muscles, connective tissues, tendons and ligaments. This treatment can help the overall well-being of a persona and also improve many health issues such as back pain.

Thumper® massagers are deep muscle percussion massagers that can be used to perform massage therapy. They contain a powerful stroke and massage spheres that cradle your spine. Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS)

Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation is used to help chronic pain conditions and nerve-related damage. This treatment uses low-voltage electrical current and stimulating pulses across the surface of the skin and along the nerves to stimulate and relieve pain. This method is a non-invasive and drug-free way to control pain.

The FabStim® Digital TENS Unit, 2-channel is a portable TENS unit that provides 5 modes of stimulation: Burst, Modulation, Constant, MRW, SD1 and SD2. It has an adjustable pulse rate and can be used with two or four electrodes. This device comes equipped with a timer and comes with a battery, self-adhesive electrodes and a carrying case.

 

Ultrasound

Ultrasound can relieve pain by heating the tissues of deep joints. A heated probe is put into direct contact with the skin to provide soothing healing soundwaves to muscle injuries or strains.

The Sonicator® Plus 992 Combo is a safe and effective ultrasound machine that can also provide electrical stimulation treatments. Its ultrasound provides six different waveforms for treatment: Interferential, Premodulated, Medium Frequency (Russian), Biphasic, High Volt, and Microcurrent. There are different timers so you can set 3 protocols simultaneously and it includes built-in safety features.

 

Hydrotherapy

Using a Hydrotherapy treatment can soothe tight and strained muscles and improve blood circulation to relieve pain. This treatment is enacted by performing specialized exercises in a pool of water in an attempt to help ease several different pain and problems throughout the body.

Stainless steel whirlpools are commonly used for hydrotherapy. They come in a variety of models, each used for different kinds of patients and exercises. Each model offers a dial that can vary the degree of water agitation by controlling the amount of air introduced into the water. These whirlpools are also equipped with a thermometer and available with a polished satin finish or an electrostatically applied color.
