This activity offers many health benefits, and it is a great way to experience nature. National Hiking Day is arguably the most important holiday this month rivalling that of Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
Why is the simple activity of going for a hike important? It is because hiking is a great outdoor exercise. Now more than ever, being outside is important in maintaining social distance and helps prevent people from getting sick. Restaurants and retail are figuring out ways to get people to dine and shop outside. Why not also plan an outdoor activity? With winter right around the corner, outdoor activities might be a luxury taken away with the cold weather. This cold weather can force you to stay inside with nothing to do. There is no excuse to not go hiking.
