With the new year comes a brand-new dynamometer from Baseline®! Introducing the latest set of dynamometers in the Baseline® line up, Baseline® BIMS™ Digital Dynamometers. This new dynamometer is loaded with new features and is the perfect new tool for hand strength evaluation.
Old hydraulic dynamometers are now a thing of the past. No more moving pieces that break down over time or oil that leaks after repeated use. The new BIMS™ Dynamometer is all digital with its readings. Its load-cell digital technology gives more accurate, repeatable, consistent measurements with an LCD screen that makes results easy to read. The LCD screen can display calculated graphical results instantly with its numerous testing protocols that are conveniently built into the system.
With BIMS™ you have the option of choosing the grip dynamometer or the pinch dynamometer. The grip dynamometer can measure grip strength up to 300 lbs (135 kg) while the pinch dynamometer can measure grip strength up to 100 lbs (45 kg). However, if you just cannot decide between the two and want both, we offer sets that include everything you need to measure your patients’ hand and arm strength. Simple and easy to use, there are three models to choose from with each model having 5-position hand grips / paddles to accommodate different hand sizes and tests. Choose between the Functional, Clinic and Deluxe models.
The Functional Model is the most basic model as it only contains the Max Force testing protocol for more straightforward test settings. Going a step up from that is the Clinic model.
The Clinic Model is ideal for a clinical setting as it provides timed tests with the Max Force, Quick, and General Strength protocols.
If you want the maxed-out model with all the bells and whistles go for the Deluxe Model. This model expands upon the Clinic model and includes more advanced timed tests that are ideal for research applications, Workers’ Compensation, FCE (Functional Capacity Evaluation) and day-to-day testing. It includes Max Force, Quick, General Strength, Rapid Exchange, Modified Maximum Voluntary Effort, Maximum Voluntary Effort, and Fatigue tests.
With this new technology, BIMS™ dynamometers are the dynamometers of the future. They measure grip and pinch strength with greater accuracy and repeatability than standard hydraulic dynamometers. There is no reason to choose anything lesser.
