Traditionally, most weight loss programs focus on cutting body fat rather than gaining muscle. If you ever wanted to do both, this is referred to as Body Recomposition. Body Recomposition is a weight loss method that emphasizes the importance of not only losing fat but gaining muscle at the same time.
Body Recomposition is a different approach to health and fitness than the typical mindset of losing weight. This is because you are altering your physique by burning fat and gaining muscle at the same time. Many people think that it is impossible to do Body Recomposition because to reduce your body fat, you must eat fewer calories than you burn. However, to build muscle, you must eat more calories than you burn. Even though it sounds contradictory, you can absolutely do both by analyzing your body so that you get a better understanding of your body composition. Body composition refers to the amount of fat and lean mass (i.e muscle, bone, and water) your body contains. Lean mass is something you cannot really convert because that is not bad fat. By understanding the amount of bad fat mass you have, you can change your ratio and convert that fat mass to lean mass. This will give you a toned and lean body.
Body Recomposition is not just a weight loss fad, it is a lifestyle choice. Gaining muscle while burning fat is something you must commit to because it will not happen overnight. There is also no real protocol for Body Recomposition like there is for other health and fitness goals. To successfully change your body composition, you need to moderately decrease your calorie intake and increase your protein and fiber intake. This is done while performing cardiovascular exercises and resistance training. It is important to remember that during those weight training days, you should eat plenty of calories and proteins for muscle to grow. When you are not working out, you must consume fewer calories, so your body does not store the calories it does not need. This is the key to preserving and building muscle mass and losing weight at the same time.
Though it may sound confusing, Body Recomposition is pretty simple and can be used by anyone. This method stresses the importance of gaining muscle while losing fat. This healthy way of getting in shape can decrease your risk of chronic disease and boost metabolism in the long run.
